NYX Collection (EXTREMELY Pic Heavy)

NYX Cosmetics is by far my favorite cosmetic brand. If I wasn't a makeup blogger, and my curiosity for other brands didn't exist, NYX would be the only brand I use. I have only found 2 things from this brand that I didn't like. My collection is not huge, and is still growing, but I wanted to show yall what I had and some swatches of the products. Before I start showing the pictures, I wanted to say that this post will be very pic heavy. So without further ado, here is my collection.

EYESHADOWS

I have 2 of the ten color eye shadow pallets from the Runway Collection. These pallets are amazing. The shadows are so creamy and the color payoff is very nice. I think NYX excels in their pallets and trios.
The first one is the Caviar and Bubbles ten shadow pallet. This is a completely neutral pallet. All the shadows are shimmery and have great color payoff. I LOVE this pallet.
The next one is the Bohemian Rhapsody pallete. This another great neutral pallet. The top row is all shimmer while the bottom is all matte. It is really great to incorprate matte shadows into your collection as they are great for defining as well as being great for mature eyes. I was a little disappointed with the black shade (bottom row, far right). When looking at it, you think it will be very dark, but it really comes off as more of a charcoal grey.
The next two products are the trios. These trios are incredible. They are so soft and creamy and the pigmentation is out of this world. The one pictured above is the Gold/Rust/Walnut Bronze trio. These shades are gorgeous. The center shade (Rust) is a beautiful truly rust color.
This trio is named Shangrila. When I look at this pallet I think of summertime in the Caribbean. The yellow, orange, and peachy pink makes a really fun eye. Again, these are creamy and very pigmented.
(Left-Right...Charcoal Brown, My Favorite Color, Champagne, True Taupe, and Hot Orange)

These are the NYX single shadows. These are not as creamy and pigmented as the ones in the pallet but for the most part they are good. The second and the orange shade are very disappointing. In the pan, they are very hard and they have actual chunks of glitter in them. They come of very patchy and it is near impossible to get a pigmented smooth swatch out of these. The other three are just as good as the pallet shades.

Face Products

This is the Stay Matte Not Flat powder foundation. This is my favorite setting powder. On my skin, the coverage of this foundation is not enough on its own. But when I use it as a setting powder over other foundation that are lacking in coverage, it gives an amazing finish. My shade is in Soft Beige. They have a great selection of shades for the foundation. I am usually the lightest shade in all foundations, but there were actually about 3 shades lighter than the one that suited my color. This is great for those gals that have problems finding a shade to match them.

Notice the Bunny on the bottom. This signifies that NYX does not test on animals.

This blusher/bronzer combo is extremely glittery. Its not very chunky but the glitter is noticeable. The bronzer almost has a pink undertone so I will sometimes just use it as a blush. It is far to glittery to be used as a bronzer all over the face.
This is the best swatch I could get of the Powder and Blush/Bronzer. The powder is on the far left and it matches my skin so well that you can't actually see it.
Eye Bases and Eyeliners
The eyeshadow base on the far left is my holy grail eye product. This keeps my shadows completely crease free all day.

Left-Right...Brown, Seafoam Green, and Black
These are the NYX eyeliner pencils. I LOVE these. They are so smooth and creamy. Sometimes with pencils they tug at the eyes, but I don't have that problem with these. The black one is so pigmented and this is basically the only black eyeliner I use, and I use it everyday.
Left-Right...Jumbo eye pencil in Yogurt and Cream eyeshadow in Musk

The jumbo pencils are known as exceptional bases. They have a large variety of colors and are priced just right. The cream shadows are wonderful and they do not budge once they are dry.
Lipstick: Narcissus
Lipliner: Rose

The round lipstick are great. They are very moisturizing and have decent wear time. The lipstick pictured about is Narcissus and is a serious barbie pink. Very bright!! The lip liner is very smooth as well. This is a very muted rose color and beautiful alone or with a lip gloss layered on it.

There is my NYX collection. I feel that the quality of NYX products are that of a high end brand, while the price is just right. Have you tried NYX before? If you have let me know what your favorite products are.

Favorite Inexpensive Nail Polishes

I just recently started painting my nails. When I was in school, I was a competitive horseback rider, so my nails took a beating. I never took the time to paint them because it would just be messed up later. Now that I dont ride anymore (*sigh*), I paint my nails when I have a chance. I have a three year old so this is few and far between, but I have found a few great inexpensive brands. Sinful Colors, Wet and Wild, Spoiled by Wet and Wild, and LA colors are AMAZING!!! I can not justify paying almost $10 for a nail polish and these brands range from 99 cents to $2.00.  These are great, especially if you are on a budget.

I am going to show yall my favorite shades from these brands. Now I don't have swatches of my own, but I will link in some swatches. So here we go...

1) My ALL TIME FAV color is Sinful Colors Easy Going.

This is a beautiful LIGHT pink. This is a essential for all nail polish collections. It is perfect if your not into bright colors, or you work a job where bright color is not acceptable. It is so smooth and creamy, and completely opaque in two coats.

2) Wet and Wild Sparkled is a gorgeous sparkly shade. A completely opaque sparkle shade is hard to find, but this is completely opaque in 3 coats, which seems like a lot but it is a gorgeous shade.

3) Sinful Colors Let Me Go is a beautiful duo chrome polish. The shade is stunning in the bottle. It has shades of green and purple. When applied it comes off sheer but is very buildable. I became opaque for me in 3 coats.

4) Sinful Colors in Island Coral is a stunning coral shade. Corals are very in for the season and this is a perfect coral shade. This is a a cream polish and is almost opaque in one coat. I still apply 2 to make it completely opaque

5) Spoiled by Wet and Wild in Toad-ally Amazing is a really fun minty tealish shade. This is such a awesome summer shade. It has a hint of sparkle in it and has a great texture. This shade is opaque in 2 coats. LOVE this color.

6) LA colors in Mega Watt. I am not a huge LA colors fan. There makeup is horrible but their nail polishes are pretty good. They also make the oh-so-famous art deco stripers. Mega Watt is a very sheer, nude color. If you want a very opaque colors you will need about 4 coats. For some reason I love this shade even though it is extremely sheer. It just adds a gorgeous sheen to your nails.

7) Wet and Wild in Wet Cement is a very dark shade. Im not usually into extremely dark shades, but this one is just very pretty. It really reminds me of the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Tough as Taupe, but in nail polish form. If you love dark taupe shades, this is for you.

8) NYC Matte Me Crazy Mattifying Top Coat. No this is not a polish shade per se, but occasionally I am in the mood for a matte nail color. So colors are beautiful when matte as well. Now this swatch is over some random black color. I have no idea what it is, but I wanted to show how this top coat works.

So there y'all have it. These are my favorite inexpensive nail polish shades. Let me know yall's favorite shades. I would love to check them out!!
